Summary

This is an instructional film demonstrating the stages of brick house construction in the post World War Two era and intended for use in the Commonwealth Reconstruction Training Scheme. Following the architectural planning stage, the film shows in detail the various stages of building and the associated tradesmen involved, including the laying of foundations, cement mixing and pouring, bricklaying, roof construction and tiling, the installation of windows and guttering, plumbing and electrical work, and finally plastering and painting.
